If you’re interested in working together, here’s how we get started:

  1. COMPLIMENTARY CONSULT CALL

    After you fill out the form below, we’ll schedule a free call to talk about you, the scope and general timeline of your project, and figure out if we’re a good fit.

  2. SHARE MATERIALS

    If we decide to work together, it’s time to share our materials! For example, if you’re working on a journal article R&R, you would upload the article draft, the letter from the editor, and the feedback from reviewers. If you’re starting a book project, and depending where you are in that process, you would upload your book proposal, book contract, and any outlines or drafts.

    This is also when we’d figure out invoicing and billing — folks typically use department or research grant funds, in which case I’d register as an independent contractor with your institution.

  3. MEET AGAIN AND MAKE A PLAN

    After those things are squared away, we’ll schedule our next meeting, during which we’ll talk more in-depth and make a plan to include the cadence of regular virtual meetings, our internal deadlines for exchanging drafts, and any particular pain points we need to strategize around.

  4. PROCEED AS PLANNED, AMEND AS NEEDED

    After we make our plan, we’ll follow it! But as I used to say to my students on the first day of classes, life is what happens when you’re just trying to do your homework, so don’t panic or disappear when life happens and we need to amend the plan (which will include plenty of cushion just for these inevitabilities). We’ll triage and amend the plan as needed.
